Diet and acne relationship is controversial, because several studies showed no link between our diet and the acne. However, new studies showed that high glycemic load diets may aggravate it.
Acne vulgaris occurs mainly during puberty and it can be caused by many factors. Acne develops when pores in the skin becomes clogged with dead cells or bacteria’s. Clogged pores leads to inflammation and cause pimples.
During puberty the body produces more of a hormone called insulin like growth factor 1 which worsen the symptoms of acne. Certain food may rise IGF1 levels. Avoiding these foods may help us prevent a breakout.

To sum up, try avoiding high fat and high GI food and consume more of omega 3 rich food, it might lessen the onset of acne.
